Happy October!

The last few weeks in Room 105!
 
 
We earned a Pajama Day Party by hitting the bulls-eye with kind words!
 

We earned a Pajama Party for filling our Manners Jar by using kind words to others. We call kind words Sunshine words. One book we have read is Elbert's Bad Word By: Audrey Wood. Some examples of kind, or Sunshine words maybe:

or helping a friend

Cool Tool Lesson:

Oct. 6-10: I can be respectful by accepting my responsibility for my choices.

Oct. 13-17:
I can be safe while riding the bus.

Oct. 20-24:
Red Ribbon Week.

Literacy Centers:

Word work spelling on the ipad.

Safe, respectful, learning on the ipad and building words.

 
We practiced cleaning up after ourselves in Literacy Stations!

 
Finding blends with Silly Sentences! He found "fish." Way to find SH.

Math: We are learning new domino and other games with quick images. This week we looked at different strategies to count beside by ones.
 
 
Science: We are continuing to learn about Moon Phases! Tomorrow we are going to use marshmallows and create the different phases of the moon. We learned Moon means month and it takes one month for the Moon to orbit, or revolve around the Earth. We also learned the Sun is what lights up the Moon at night. Below are some of the Moon Phase Songs to help our learning.

Friday Folders: Bi-weekly Behavior sheet signed and returned on Monday. Check out our classroom Blog throughout the month for updates.
 
Homework Packet: In Friday folders and due the following Friday. We have done a great job about turning this in. Make sure you are putting your name on them. :)
 

Snacks We are in need for healthy snacks in addition to the fresh fruits and vegetables. Some ideas may include pretzels, goldfish, fruit snacks, or crackers.
